Dereham Cricket club have secured a new sponsorship deal for their youth section.

Doors Plus Ltd who design and install composite doors will be sponsoring the set-up for the next three years, and Dereham chairman Neil Irons said: 'I met with the directors at Doors Plus who are 100% behind our aim of getting youth players playing cricket. Their support is second to none and the club can't thank David Burton and Andy MacDonnell enough for their commitment.'

Dereham are offering free membership for all under-15s, both boys and girls, for the coming season. The first 30 members will also receive a free training T-shirt.

The youth section will be training on Sunday mornings from 10.30am to noon, and youth co-ordinator Duncan Hewitt said: 'We moved our training session to suit parents' needs. Having sessions midweek is okay, but we appreciate that parents work and having the sessions at weekends helps everyone.'

Dereham are holding a signing on evening this Monday from 7pm to 8pm at the Norwich Road clubhouse. where the head youth co-ordinator, coaches, managers, and welfare officers will be present.

The Royal Standard public house will again be the club's main shirt sponsors for the coming season. Landlords Darryl and Julie said: 'We're more than happy to continue our support for the club. The club is moving forward and we appreciate the work that goes on to make it happen.'
