AT the North Elmham Tennis Club annual meeting and trophy presentations, all reports from the chairman Jim Biggie, treasurer Christine Skipper and coach James Cane were very upbeat and encouraging.

North Elmham has a fantastic club with many members dedicated to continue building on its great success. Junior and adults alike strive to win all tournaments and competitions entered over the year, with first-class results.

James Cane commented on how the juniors are just flying, and with the coaching and dedicated support of the parents there are some excellent players who can aim to achieve the ultimate in British tennis and at the same time have fun.

Ali Bidewell, who is a great supporter of the club, presented the cups with an encouraging word to all.

Junior tournament winners: Emily Gilbert (7-10 years), Frazer Horner (10-12 years), Stuart Biggie (12years plus). Most improved juniors: George Massy (4-7 years), Alex Garrood (7-10 years), Tom Newey (10-12 years), Jake O'Neal (12 years plus).

Bob Bidewell Trophy for the most improved player over all groups: Emily Gilbert.

Adult tournament winners: Ladies' singles Tessa Thatcher; men's singles Dan Warman; ladies' doubles Gloria Digby and Sandra Henderson; men's doubles James Cane and Will Fox; social mixed doubles Gloria Digby and Tom Pye.

The chairman presented a bouquet and book token to retiring secretary Aggie Slater and thanked her for her dedicated work over the last four years. Sandra Henderson will be taking over as secretary.

A bouquet and a thank you went to Christine Skipper, the treasurer, for all her extra help around the club, and a bouquet and a big thank you went to Mrs Bidewell for her presentation skills and support over the years.
