Otters in gala action
DEREHAM Otters took part in their first gala of 2009 when they travelled to Thetford. They joined teams from King's Lynn Warriors, Ipswich, Great Yarmouth, and Thetford Dolphins to compete for the Barrett Trophy.

There were wins for Chloe Hazell in the 50m butterfly, Sean Voutt in the 50m breaststroke, Ben Whitbourn in the 50m butterfly and Emma Tudge in the 50m freestyle.
A new club record was set by David Hardy, Joe Snell, Chris Searle and Matthew Surman for the boys open age 4x50m medley relay.
There were trophies for the first three places.
Thetford won the competition with 179 points, second was Ipswich with 164 points, Dereham came third with 125, followed by Great Yarmouth with 119 and King's Lynn with 112.
