Harleston Magpies V 2, Reepham Ladies 1

Enforced changes over the last few weeks have meant that Reepham have had to change their squad and introduce some young players to compete in this league.

These young girls are settling in and rising to the challenge. On Saturday they stepped up another level and produced their best performance to date against a very skilful young Harleston side.

It was Reepham who went in at half-time with a fully deserved 1-0 lead. During the half they were strong in their tackles and as the half progressed they were keen to be first to the ball. Reepham's goal came from a short corner inch perfect strike inside the near post from Michelle Lain after a neat lay-off from young Becky Briggs.

Reepham were slow to restart the second half and Harleston punished them with two quick goals. As the half went on, Reepham once more came back into this game and were unlucky not to grab a point at the death when another surge forward found Briggs behind the defence but Harleston's keeper was out quickly to deny her a sight of a goal.
