IN the second meeting of these teams in two weeks both had key players missing.

The game started with Anglian Combination Division Two leaders Reepham pressing, and an early corner saw Martin Bramble rise at the far post to head past keeper Lee Edwards.

The Robins were put under pressure when Rodney Drake limped off with a twisted ankle after just 12 minutes. Reepham re-organised and were staunch at the back. St John's failed to make any meaningful impact except a when Graham Carr broke through following a superb Luke Tuttle cross ball. Carr hit the ball hard and low only to see keeper Martin Failes get down in a flash and put the ball around the post.

Shortly after that break Reepham struck with a header from a free-kick following a rash Tom Barrett tackle very close to the corner flag. This time it was Beau Howard who leaped and butted the ball into the net. On 75 minutes a neat cross from Colin Emberley saw Kevin White head back across the goal to strike partner Leon Huckle who side-footed the ball into an empty net.

St John's received five bookings, two of which led to Jamie Harman being sent off.

Jason Hynd took a free-kick and hit it so hard the ball bounced off Lee Edwards' chest and Reepham skipper White was on the spot to slot home to see Reepham safely into the Cyril Ballyn Cup final on Wednesday, April 8 at Trafford Park, Wroxham.

They play CEYMS who beat Mundford 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw after extra-time.

Martin Bramble was the Meloncaulie Rose of Reepham man of the match.

On Saturday Reepham are in league action at Downham Town Reserves, 3pm ko.
