REEPHAM manager Shane Lutkin stated after this Norfolk Senior Cup game: “Today 14 of our boys played well. When one considers that we got promotion from Division Two and Blofield were runners-up in the Premier last season, my squad were a credit to the football club. Blofield have a status which I and the Reepham Football Club covet.

“They are in the top two or three of the Premier every year and we wish to emulate and better what they have done. The club is moving forward with a steady progression and today we proved we are not far from being able to compete on a regular basis with teams such as Blofield.

“Our hosts deserved their victory, but the difference was that the Blofield boys have played season in and season out at this standard, and it's new to most of the boys at this club - and two wonder strikes from young Greg Murphy helped their cause. Apart from that, there was little to choose between the teams.

“My team have not totally gelled yet this season and a league campaign is a marathon not a sprint.”

Meloncollie Rose of Reepham man-of-the-match was James Page.

Next, the Robins are at home to Long Stratton, 2pm.
