Runners earn cross country points

RUNNING: On Sunday, nine Dereham Runners took part in the third of the series of six cross country races held at Shouldham Warren organised by Ryston Runners.

RUNNING: On Sunday, nine Dereham Runners took part in the third of the series of six cross country races held at Shouldham Warren organised by Ryston Runners.

The rain held off until the race over 6.5k was completed.

The first Dereham Runner to finish was Neville Knights, but the highest placed in their age group category was Clem Vogler, with most of the Dereham Runners scoring points towards the club competition.

Vet men 45: Neville Knights 25:23, Keith Moore 27:30, Andy Norton 31:37; vet men 55: John Richardson 34:08; vet men 60; Clem Vogler 28:17, Tony Bastard 30:16, Ernie Bradshaw 31:58; vet ladies 45: Hazel Cason 38:51, Di Renshaw 39:02.
