Neville Knights and Rory Campbell of Dereham Runners AC raced over a demanding 15-mile course at Folksworth, building up towards the London Marathon. In a field of over 400, Knights finished 56th in 104:11 and Campbell achieved a personal best 119:01 for 174th.

On Sunday, five Dereham Runners competed in the Reedham 10 mile. Personal times were slower than hoped. Emma Potter Campbell was first Dereham Runner to finish, winning her age group category in 1-15:28, followed by Rory Campbell 1-16:05, Gill Woodhouse 1-25:33, John Richardson 1-31:00 and Di Renshaw 1-49:22.
The Dereham 10-mile race sponsored by Lovewell Blake, chartered accountants, will take place on May 17. Every standard of runner will be made welcome.
