DEREHAM Junior Runners competed in their last Sportshall meeting of the year at the UEA Sports Park, Norwich with some excellent results.

U11 Girls: Georgia Perks, Two Lap Race 27:8, Two Lap Hurdles 30:0, Standing Long Jump 1.64m (PB), Speed Bounce 0:44.

U11 Boys: Joe Nicholson, Two Lap Race 28:5, Two Lap Hurdles 34:3, Standing Long Jump 1.56m,Vertical Jump 23. Kendal Norris, Two Lap Race 29:9, Two Lap Hurdles 33:0, Standing Long Jump 1.45m and Vertical Jump 27.

U13 Girls: Summer West, Two Lap Race 28:8, Standing Long Jump 1.36m and Vertical Jump. Amy Walpole, Four Lap Race 60:6, Standing Long Jump 1.48m and Speed Bounce 50. Octavia Campbell Two Lap Race 30:5, Four Lap Race 70:2, Speed Bounce 52 and Vertical Jump. Amy and Summer also teamed up for the Eight Lap Paarlauf and ran a time of 2-00:4.

U13 Boys: Isaac King, Two Lap Race 27:5, Ashley Jarvis 26:9. Ashley Jarvis, Four Lap Race 59:8. Matthew Palmer, Six Lap Race 92:9, Josh Palmer 93:5.

Josh teamed up with Matthew to run the Eight Lap Paarlauf in 1-57:3. Matthew Palmer, Standing Long Jump 1.54m, Josh Palmer 1.68m. Isaac King, Speed Bounce 59, Ashley Jarvis 65. Matthew Palmer, Standing Triple Jump 4.65m. William Moore, Shot 9.43m, Ashley Jarvis 5.43m. Isaac King, Vertical Jump 36 (PB), Josh Palmer 38.

In the 4x2 Relay Ashley, Isaac, Josh and Matthew finished in fourth position and in the Obstacle Relay William, Ashley, Josh and Isaac finished second but William hurt his foot in this event which meant he had to pull out from the rest of the day's events.

The U13 boys finished in third position overall in the competition and each received a bronze trophy.

At the Runners' Christmas Party two were presented with trophies.

Summer West received the Junior Trophy for showing the most improvement over the year.

William Moore won the combined best East Anglian and Sportshall Performance Trophy.

The juniors' next competition is the Sportshall County Championships at the UEA Sports Park on January 9.
