St Nicholas Bowling Club stay on top of Ashill League

St Nicholas’ Ashill League team consolidated their position as league leaders with their best result of the season, winning 8-0 away at second placed Wicklewood. The shots difference was 87-24 with J Newell, G Fincham and D Norton winning by 36 shots to three.

The EBA team lost away at Wicklewood 4-1 with T Frost’s block getting the only point with an 18 shots to 15 win. They then went to Thetford and lost 4.5-0.5 with G Cowling’s block getting the half point with the last wood of the game.

The Elmham League team secured a good draw away at Bradenham with T Zelos, B Baines and V Piffero winning by 20 shots to 13.

The Whissonsett League team lost 8-2 at home to Lyng and District with L Turnbull’s block winning the 2 points.
