Students put skills to the test

TRADITIONAL Shotokan Karate Ryu held its Association Training recently at Dereham Leisure Centre.

This is a pre-grade training course where members get together to learn and test their skills with members from clubs in Norwich, Swaffham, Fakenham, Watton, Beeston and Dereham.

Nearly 80 members attended the training with Terry Wittkopp, 4th Dan, the Chief Instructor of TSKR.

Demonstrations at the end of the course were the highlight, with TSKR Senior Blackbelts demonstrating the form 'Kanku Sho' which the students had been learning on the course.

Darren Webster (TSKR Squad Coach) demonstrated the workings of the form with black belts consistently attacking him.
