Swanton Morley Cricket Club arrange youth coaching sessions

PUBLISHED: 10:45 08 March 2012

SWANTON Morley Cricket Club have arranged another coaching programme for young players following the success of a similar initiative last spring.

The club was recently awarded ECB Clubmark Accreditation for the third time, confirming its ongoing commitment to being safe, effective and child-friendly. Four qualified coaches will lead, with other club members on hand to help.

The coaching sessions will be held at the Neatherd High School Sports Hall on Saturday mornings, from 10am until noon, on March 17, 24 and 31, with a break for Easter, then finishing on Saturday, April 14.

All local girls and boys between the ages of eight and 13 are invited to attend, the cost being £2 per child, per session. All equipment will be provided. There is no need to book, but for further details contact George Northall on 01362 637620.

It is hoped some youngsters will go on to take part in the outdoor sessions held at the Angel Cricket Ground, Swanton Morley on Monday evenings, starting on April 23.
