Local swimmer Marcella competed in a full programme of events and picked up four medals - one silver and three bronze. She achieved two national qualifying times for next summer in 200m backstroke (2:21.68) and 400m freestyle (4:29.03). She finished off the weekend with a storming 100m freestyle relay leg in 59.51.

She has received a letter from British Swimming, identifying her as a potential Olympic 2012 open water swimmer, and inviting her to a workshop at Swansea in December.
