Over-confident Dereham were given a hockey wake-up call after Wapping overwhelmed them for the first 15 minutes and went into the lead.

Over-confident Dereham were given a hockey wake-up call after Wapping overwhelmed them for the first 15 minutes and went into the lead.

After the scare Dereham upped their game, attacked endlessly and the first goal came with Sam Skelton tapping in a fine cross .

Evie Gardner scored the second from open play and Hannah Palmer snatched the third in a goalmouth scramble. The fourth came just before half-time with a penalty from Evie Gardner.

In the second half Dereham were all over Wapping and chance after chance went begging.

Dereham stay top of their league by three points from Canterbury II.
