Wymondham 0, Bradenham Wanderers 0

A LARGE band of Bradenham followers travelled on the Mid-Norfolk Railway from Dereham to Wymondham on Saturday to see their favourites play out a very competitive and good-spirited match against second-in-the-table Wymondham Town.

Although the game ended goalless, it could never be described as boring.

The first half was played at a frenetic pace with the hosts slightly edging it, but neither keeper was troubled by the few half-chances that were created.

Bradenham started the second period in the ascendancy, one move ending with Forder shooting just wide. Another good move ended with Frost not quite getting the final touch to put his side in front.

Bush and King also came close to scoring. Wymondham certainly weren’t out of things, and Luke Dagg had a particularly fine match, having switched from right to left-back in the visitors’ defence.

On 75 minutes, Butters rushed out to clear his lines and colided with the on-rushing Wymondham forward. Both players received nasty-looking injuries.

Bradenham didn’t get the goal that their second-half performance deserved, but their attitude and level of effort could not be faulted.

Bradenham stay third in Anglian Combination Division One.
