East Bilney Coachworks has again shown their support for Dereham Wanderers FC in funding their recruitment campaign for the forthcoming season.

Senior partner Colin Baldwin said: “We are delighted to support Dereham Wanderers again this year. They are a very friendly and ambitious club with clear priorities for the future.”

East Bilney Coachworks is one of the area's largest independent car body repair shops with centres at East Bilney and Norwich.

Wanderers will be fielding their first men's team next season in line with their five-year plan to have teams from U8s through to adults in both boys' and girls' football.

Club development officer Steve Gilbert said: “We are very thankful to East Bilney Coachworks for sponsoring our 2008/9 campaign which will mean we can raise the profile of the club by increased advertising and awareness around the community.”

Wanderers will be holding their annual open evening on Monday, July 14 at Northgate High School starting at 6:30pm.

The evening is for existing players to renew their membership and for any new players to meet club officials and the coaching staff.

Parents and guardians can gain information on Wanderers' aims and ambitions and find a suitable team for their son or daughter.

Birds of Dereham will also be exhibiting the Wanderers' clothing range together with other football accessories.

Anyone who is interested in becoming a coach, helper, or committee member is also invited together with any local companies wishing to become a club sponsor.

The club is also looking to include disability football in the near future and would welcome anyone who would like to be involved.

More details can be found on the club website www.derehamwanderers.co.uk or by contacting Steve Gilbert on 07810 796 798.

Dereham Wanderers recently held their annual club five-a-side tournament and presentation day. On a rain sodden day over 150 players were not dampened by the weather and produced some excellent football. After the tournament every member received their club trophy as a thank you for their efforts during the season.

Other trophies presented to each team included player of the season, players' player, most improved player and supporters' player.
