Yaxham held their presentation night on Saturday for the club's first and reserve teams.

The reserves finished the season seventh in Division Four of the Central & South Norfolk League, with manager Martin Spillett taking encouragement from the fact he managed to field a full team for every fixture. At one point they headed the division before slipping at the end.

Ross McCann scooped players' player and top goalscorer, while Danny Wilson got the manager's vote for player of the year.

In the firsts, manager Jon Barnes reflected on a first season in management and a first season together as a team, and said he was pleased with the way the players have grouped together and become a tight footballing side.

They played 44 games, losing only six, and scoring just shy of 200 goals, finishing as runners-up in Division Two and securing promotion. Craig Clarke picked up most assists and top goalscorer, 48 and 43 respectively. Joe Whitty scooped most man of the match awards while Craig Howlett took the players' player of the year award. The manager's award was a joint one, captain Matt Barden and Howlett sharing the honours. Yaxham begin pre-season training on July 3, 7pm start. Contact Jon Barnes on 07584318280 for more details.
