James Hillery, aged eight amazed everyone at the Buckmore Kart Circuit, Kent when he won his first major race.

James, from Shipdham, has been a pupil at the Red Lodge Kart School (Top Katz) in Newmarket since January.

James, from Shipdham, has been a pupil at the Red Lodge Kart School (Top Katz) in Newmarket since January. His cousin and race manager Simon Hillery took him to the country's top circuit so James could gain vital experience

In Sunday's final he led his class from start to finish. James is in third position in the Red Lodge Championship, never finishing outside the top five.

He hopes to attract the attention of a major sponsor for 2010.
