BLACK BELTS: Following the closure of the Dereham Martial Arts Academy earlier this year, Neil Cook (Black Belt 2nd Dan) has continued to train some dedicated students at Toftwood Village Hall.
Four youngsters from Dereahm recently achieved their black belts in karate after up to three years of work.
They travelled to Ipswich to face rigorous assessments of their karate skills under the watchful eye of 8th Dan Mick Blackwell.
The black belt quartet (pictured left to right with Neil Cook in the middle) were Charlie Winter-Hall, Emily Birt, Joshua Wyatt and Kris Harrod.
