After the winter production of A Christmas Carol Fakenham and District light Operatic Society (Fadlos) are wasting no time and are holding open auditions for its next production in May of the well-known and loved ANNIE.

Fadlos is particularly looking to welcome former members back as well as some new faces for this heart -warming tale of little orphan Annie and her adventures with the horrid Miss Hannigan and big Daddy Warbucks. The musical has some wonderful numbers such as Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, and the poignant The sun will come out tomorrow.

Producer Jackie Overton said: ”In addition to the five main characters the huge cast comprises another 17 smaller singing roles plus another 10 non-singing characters. So there is plenty of choice and scope! We do have great fun in Fadlos so please do come along”.

The first relaxed get together for children and adults for a read and sing through will be at Fakenham Community centre on Monday, December 15, at 7.30pm

Adult auditions will be on Wednesday the 17th at 6PM

Children's auditions and a workshop session will be on Sunday, January 4, from 10 am -4pm at the Community Centre. All children are asked to bring a packed lunch, a recent photograph and a mobile phone as it may be a long day!

Annie runs from May 12th to 16th 2009 and Fadlos rehearse on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Fakenham Community Centre.
