Fakenham Baptist Church is hosting an evening on Sunday, 6pm, called 'In The Beginning,' which will look issues such as science, creation, evolution, Darwinism and asking the question 'How does it fit together'.
Fakenham Baptist Church is hosting an evening on Sunday, 6pm, called 'In The Beginning,' which will look issues such as science, creation, evolution, Darwinism and asking the question 'How does it fit together'.
Martin Down, author of the book 'Deluded by Darwinism,' is speaker and will take questions and the aim is for the evening to be fairly informal.
Mr Down was ordained as a minister of the Church of England in 1965 and almost all his ministry was spent in country parishes.
In 1988 he was appointed to the parishes of Ashill and Saham Toney and established the Fountain of Life church which came into being in the local community centre.
He retired in 2005, but continues to teach and preach occasionally at the Fountain of Life, where he and his wife Maureen continue as members. In retirement Martin devotes much of his time to writing.
