To officially celebrate the completion of the pipe organ in All Saints Church in Swanton Morley a special recital is being held on Saturday.It will be an opportunity for those who have raised money towards the �22,000 restoration of the 1887 Norman and Beard organ to hear the results of their support.
To officially celebrate the completion of the pipe organ in All Saints Church in Swanton Morley a special recital is being held on Saturday.
It will be an opportunity for those who have raised money towards the �22,000 restoration of the 1887 Norman and Beard organ to hear the results of their support.
The evening will include a recital of popular organ solos and duets performed by Matthew Fletcher and Annie Lydford, the organ scholars of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, on Saturday at 7:30pm.
In addition to the organ music, Rachel Bagnall (soprano) will sing some solos accompanied by the college's precentor and director of music, Dr Geoffrey Webber.
Light refreshments will be served at the end of the concert. Tickets costing �5 can be purchased at the door on the evening of the concert.
