WALKS aimed at getting people to increase their activity and enjoy a healthier lifestyle are starting in the Fakenham and Wells area next week.

Fit Together is a Norfolk-wide project offering activity and a chance to meet and socialise with other people mostly through walks but also including keep fit, cycling (in spring and summer), tea-dancing, line dancing, badminton, Nordic walking and water aerobics.

Walks cater for complete beginners and advanced walkers and are offered every day of the week across North Norfolk from the Sheringham/Cromer area to Wells, Fakenham, North Walsham and the North Norfolk side of Aylsham.

Fakenham/Wells area walks will feature new routes from the Wells Community Hospital and Great Snoring in the spring and a longer walk at Holkham Hall for the summer. These add to the walks already Wells, Fakenham, Walsingham and Sculthorpe.

Volunteer walk leaders are needed so if you are fit and active and enjoy walking and socialising with others then phone 07826 869377 and book on to the next training day on February 23 in Cromer.

Except for badminton no booking is necessary and walks are free of charge. All other activities are 2. You can pick up the latest programme of activities at any Lloyds Pharmacy and many local libraries or alternatively contact the North Norfolk co-ordinator, Melanie Brown, on (01263) 516029 or 07826 869377 for information or to be sent a programme.
