Dereham Band has announced that it has another busy year ahead with many engagements confirmed. The first big concert will be on April 18 at the Northgate School and the popular Sunday afternoon matinees are once again scheduled for the Queen Mother's Gardens during the summer months.
The band was recently presented with a framed certificate from the local branch of the Royal British Legion in recognition of services rendered including leading the Armistice parades through the town each November, as well as the RAF Battle of Britain parades each September.
Newcomers to the band will be welcomed and anyone interested - or anyone who requires a first class band to play for them - can get in touch by email at derehamband@msn.com or visit the band room at Rash's Green on rehearsal nights each Thursday.
