New Orleans fans get a healthy share of the programme at Dereham Jazz Society at Lakeside Country Club, Lyng on Wednesday - and this week is sure to be a highlight when Barry Tyler brings his Original Dixieland Jazz Band to the club. Barry leads Bob Alcoe (trombone), Steve Howlett (clarinet and alto), Bill Gyford (banjo and guitar), Paul Coulton (bass) and the club's very own Simon Nelson, who guests on cornet for this gig. Simon, taught by the great Gerry Salisbury, has become an accomplished interpreter of this enjoyable music. The session begins at 8.30pm and admission is �8.
