Officers from Breckland Council's environmental services together with other members of the Norfolk Waste Partnerships Love Food Hate Waste team will be advising visitors on new tasty pumpkin dishes at the museum's Apple Day.
Hubble Bubble pumpkin soup or Wizard Hat pasties are just some of the appetising suggestions on offer.
They will also be encouraging the composting of the discarded shells after they have been used to spook trick or treaters.
The event, a celebration of all things autumnal and appley, will also see a wide array of stalls selling local produce.
There will also be music and dancing from the Fiddlesticks Northwest Clog Group.
