Planning permission has been granted to extend the existing village hall kitchen and move the bar area. This will create a bigger seating area in the hall and improve catering facilities. The challenge now is to raise the money needed to carry out the work.
A Grand Charity Auction is being held on Easter Saturday morning, April 11. As well as the signed books, there are many items given by local businesses, including a week's holiday in Clematis Cottage donated by Kett Country Cottages.
Other items include tickets to a London show, camping gear, computer lessons, tickets to Bewilderwood and many other items. Viewing is from 10 am on Easter Saturday with the auction at 11am. Entrance costs 1 and refreshments are on sale.
