THE mid-Norfolk village of Welborne says it with flowers in a big way this weekend.
Now that its popular festival of arts and music has become a biennial event, the community has filled the gap in 2008 by organising a weekend flower festival at All Saints' Church as well as a mini-fete and open gardens day.
Children's Books is the theme of the flower festival, which will be open on both Saturday and Sunday (11am-5pm) with the mini-fete adding to the fun outside on Saturday.
Donations are welcome from visitors to the festival for the parish church and Welborne Village Hall.
Then on Sunday, eight households in the village will show off their gardening prowess between 11am and
5pm.
A rover ticket covering admission to all of them will cost £4, with accompanied children allowed in free. Refreshments will be available.
